Sylwia Pawłowska is a doctoral student at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN).
Her research focuses on the evaluation of the role of hydrodynamic interactions and Brownian fluctuations in micro and nanoscale dynamics of transport for spherical objects, highly deformable filaments and macromolecules.
Her doctoral studies include determination of the mechanical properties of elastic hydrogel nanofilaments produced by electrospinning. Sylwia Pawłowska studies hydrogel nanofilaments in flow by analysing their bending dynamics. Her research can help in the review of existing theoretical models and in the understanding of physical phenomena responsible for the processes of biomolecules folding and bending (e.g. proteins, DNA).
